We are Hiring - Trail Crew Experienced Plant Operator

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual that would like to join our trail team at Bikepark Wales.

The trail crew are responsible for managing and maintaining the extensive trail network and along with carrying out essential maintenance are tasked with delivering tweaks and improvements to the routes to ensure that it's always a great experience when people come to ride at BPW.

This is a full time, year-round outdoor working role, so you must be comfortable with physically demanding work in all weather conditions.

Qualities and experience that are required include:

  • You must have experience of operating 360-degree excavators and using them to create trails or tracks. You will preferably hold a nationally recognised plant ticket such as NPORS or CPCS.
  • You’ll need to love mountain biking and trail building, the final shaping and testing of a trail or feature is always fun and rewarding, but that is only 10% of the job, we are looking for an individual who will remain motivated for the other 90% when working in often challenging conditions and unfavourable weathers! 
  • Must be a team player, jobs are delivered in small teams who must work closely together to be efficient. There is no space for someone who can’t work well with their peers.
  • Driver’s License.

Things that are helpful:

  • Other plant tickets and experience, dumpers, tracked machines, tractors etc
  • Chainsaw experience/qualifications
  • Health and Safety experience/qualifications
  • CSCS card
