About BikePark Wales

BikePark Wales is the UK’s number one mountain bike facility located at Merthyr Tydfil on the edge of the Brecon Beacons national park just 25 minutes north of central Cardiff. The park is now an internationally recognised destination and a mecca for mountain bikers, descending on Myndd Gethin, a 491-metre summit.

 

BikePark Wales is a young, successful business which is growing fast. The current offering includes over 40 world class mountain bike trails, a vehicular uplift service, café, bike shop, bike hire, coaching and events but an ambitious development plan is now underway to both improve the existing services and add new products to the existing site.

 

The Role

BikePark Wales is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and creative individual to manage our onsite photography program and assist with other marketing related duties.

We’re looking for an individual who knows their F22 from their white balance and can capture diverse and memorable images for our customers to purchase via the BikePark Wales Website. In addition to heading up our onsite photography we are also looking for someone who would enjoy and relish the opportunity to assist in other content creation tasks.

This position will be part time primarily on weekends, Fridays during busy periods and ad hoc days for other marketing tasks. The additional marketing tasks will be less frequent and flexible when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

· Taking professional quality photographs in a variety of weather conditions and locations.

· Uploading captured photographs to the BPW website.

· Sending the photography email blast to customers at the end of each day.

· Ensuring all photography signage is in optimum positions on days when customer photos are being taken.

· Ensuring the Visitor Welcome Team are aware customer photos are being taken on that day and on what trails.

· To assist the Content and Marketing Manager with content creation when required.

· Deliver photography packages for corporate, school or group bookings when required.

Camera equipment can be provided for this role if required.

Key skills:

· Photography experience

· Exceptional time management

· A strong work ethic

· A passion for mountain biking or similar outdoor industry.

· To be proactive, seize potential opportunities and get out there and make things happen

Desirable skills:

· Ability to communicate in the Welsh language

· Enhanced DBS certificate
