We are hiring - destination marketing intern
BikePark Wales is the UK’s largest, most progressive and exciting mountain bike park with over 40 trails to suit riders of varying abilities, unrivalled facilities and one of the best uplifts in the UK. As the business continues to grow and evolve with several exciting new products coming online in the next 12 months we are looking to strengthen our marketing team with the addition of part-time intern 3 days per week.
We are looking for an individual who is either on a work placement year or immediately post graduation with a degree in marketing or similar. An interest in and solid understanding of mountain biking and outdoor activities and how to promote them in unique and engaging ways is highly desirable. Individuals with experience in creating and executing integrated campaigns both digital and otherwise are preferred and those with experience/skills with PPC, SEO are desirable.
Social media is of course an important part of our communications and will form a large part of the responsibilities of the intern. We are looking for a candidate who can capture engaging content, still and video and create posts and campaigns as per our social media planner that capture the required tone of voice and brand feel. Growing our direct marketing capabilities to our strong subscriber base is also an aim for this new position.
The internship will be a 3-month contract, 3 days per week based at the bike park in Merthyr Tdfil, right on the trail head. The intern will report directly to and be guided by our marketing manager with input from the chief of operations and the founders of the business. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a very dynamic, fast paced business which due to its relatively small size (60 employees) will give the successful candidate exposure to a broad spectrum of experiences in a market leading adventure destination.
