Trail Diaries Episode 2 - Out now!
We’re back with Trail Diaries Episode 2! In this episode we delve deep into the storm drama from December. The trail crew have been wading through puddles up to their waists, digging out drainage, chain sawing through curtains of felled trees rebuilding tracks and working tirelessly to get our trail network back up and running.
We even had to call in the big guns from NRW with heavy duty forestry machinery to help deal with the absolute carnage that Storm Darragh left on the south side of the hill. At a certain point it becomes unsafe for our own trail crew to go in and only the big machines could do this.
It’s been all hands on deck and weeks of hard graft. We’re now coming out the other side and the park is pretty much back to normal now with 44 trails back open!
