Women's Weekend is nearly here

Posted on 04 Apr 2016

Welcome to our first annual celebration of women’s cycling! It is an exciting time and the weekend is rapidly approaching, with less than two weeks to go we are fine tuning the day and getting our plans in place. All our discounted women’s coaching course are now full and entry tickets are selling well online in advance of the day so we are expecting a busy weekend with lots of happy female riders.  And what a weekend it looks to be! With clothing offerings from Fox, Troylee Designs, Endura, Flare, Maloja, Club Ride and Trail 42. Bikes from Trek and wheels from Enve will be available to demo (open to Demo from 9.30am) and plenty of lovely accessories to complete you look from Five Ten, Camebak and Bell there will be something for everyone to try during the day and make sure that it fits, no more buying online and sending most of it back!

The weekend is a celebration of Women’s cycling in general though, and is not just about the products, we have workshops booked in with Mark the head mechanic at BPW along with Shimano and Mojo to help show you how to set up your bike and get the best out of your ride. Below are the times for both days:

World Champion Tracy Moseley will be about to offer advice and lead out a few girls rides, we have two rides planned one at 1.30pm on Saturday and one at 9.30am on Sunday. Tracy will also be around for tea and cake both days in the afternoon (after 3.30pm) and is offering some of her wisdom in a Q&A session at 4pm on Saturday.

This relaxed day is a great way to meet other female riders, find kit that fits and is designed for you, and to celebrate women’s riding. If you haven’t been to BikePark Wales before there will be a great atmosphere to get you going and give you confidence, if you already ride help us to spread the love and encourage more girls to join the sport!
