Women's Weekend is back for 2017

Posted on Wed, 5 Jul, 2017 in Events

Come and join us a fun packed weekend full of everything you need to know about mountain biking

BikePark Wales is excited to announce that Women’s Weekend is back for 2017. The 2017 event will build on the success of the first ever BikePark Wales women’s event in 2016 and this year to shake things up a little… Tickets for the event are FREE!

So, what exactly is Women’s Weekend? Quite simply, it’s about celebrating mountain biking and the shared experience riding a bike can bring with as many female riders as possible. What better way to do this than to put together a weekend full of women’s specific workshop classes, suspension setup advice, free coaching sessions and of course plenty of riding with new and old friends at the UK’s biggest mountain bike park.

Throughout the weekend we’ll be joined by world cup downhill stars Manon Carpenter, Tahnee Seagrave, Katy Curd and Meg James who will be hosting group rides and informal Q&A session to talk about all things MTB.

Shimano will be bringing relaxed and fun workshop sessions focussing on those things you want to know but perhaps don't feel comfortable asking for help with.

• Cockpit Set up - how to get the most out of your bike

• Gears, how to change and index your gears

• Brakes, how to change pads, and bleed your brakes

The team from Mojo suspension will be on hand to give you some tips and tricks on setting up your suspension perfectly.

Big news this year is that Katy Curd will be hosting coaching session throughout the weekend, and BikePark Wales will be offering these coaching sessions for FREE! Spaces will be limited so you will need to book you coaching session though our coaching page as soon as possible!

In addition to all of the above Trek, Fox, Troy lee, Giro, Bell, Camelbak, Five Ten, GoPro, Muc Off and Enve will be on site with a wide range of women’s specific products that you can try before you buy.

Each FREE ticket will include your pedal pass for the day, 1x ride on the uplift as well as access to all classes and seminars! The lucky few who book quickly enough will also get their coaching session with Katy Curd free of charge.

Our events booking system has been having some technical difficulties meeting the demand for this event. If you have been successful in booking tickets you will have received an email from us. If not, don’t worry we still have tickets available. To book your ticket please email womensweekend@bikeparkwales.com and state which day you would like to attend.

Apologies for the less than smooth booking process!
